I never did introduce my more current pets but that's ok cause my long haired standard dachshund Shaggy and I have decided to support Bark for Life which was created to raise money for The American Cancer Society. I'm really excited to be part of this years event.
Many years ago when Eric and I lived on the Eastern Shore we entered Barkley and Dutch in their local Relay for Life event. Having never been involved in something like this before we weren't quite sure what to expect but honestly we had a blast. It was very cool for us cause both dogs won ribbons in the events they were entered in. Barkley won first in "Couch Potato" and largest dog and Dutch, I think won second place for smallest dog.
Best yet a lot of money was raise that day to help support The American Cancer Society and you too can help us raise money to help those who are suffering.

Getting started
I've talked about starting a blog since I'm always talking about my dogs and the mischief that seems to find them... but first a little about me.
My husband Eric and I will be married 18 years this August and I still can't believe how fast the time has gone by for me. One minute I feel like I'm waiting to walk down the isle to say my vows and the next I'm planning where we would like to go for our 18th anniversary. Amazing!
Even before my hubby and I got married we've had pets. Eno was my first very own pet, he was a teddy bear hamster that I had snuck into my bedroom. Yes my mom found out but she finally let me take care of him. Then came our first dog, Milo. I'd been wanting a Cairn Terrier for a while and was able to save up enough money to get just the right dog. I admit that I got Milo from a breeder but he really was a special dog. Oh and did I forget to mention the ferrets we've had over the years? Oswald, Oaky, Boomer, Berry, Sunny along with Spaghetti, Meatball and last but prolly not least Zeke were part of the ferret population we loved having around. Of course there are the rabbits, guinea pigs, chameleons, mice, rats cats and freshwater/saltwater fish we've had over the years since Eric and I first started dating in 1986.
That's enough for now, I will get to our present "gang" next time.
